President, Concetta LaPergola

Concetta LaPergola has been a dedicated member of the Junior League of Greater Princeton since 2020. She most recently served as Treasurer for the 2024–2025 League Year. Prior to that, she held roles across Development and Finance. 

Concetta holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rowan University and a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology from Villanova University. She currently serves the Family Practice Division at the New Jersey Judiciary, where she leads statewide initiatives focused on systems improvement, child and family wellbeing, and equity. Her work centers on implementation science and trauma-informed practices, and she is known for her ability to bring diverse stakeholders together to solve complex problems. 

Her research has been published in Psychology of Women Quarterly, the Journal of Women’s HealthStigma and Health, and the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, among other peer-reviewed outlets. Across both her professional and volunteer roles, Concetta is committed to creating environments where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to lead. 

As President, she is passionate about strengthening community partnerships, expanding leadership opportunities for women, and ensuring that the League’s work reflects dignity, purpose, and meaningful impact throughout Mercer and Bucks counties.

 

President-Elect, Jackie Schiffer

Jackie Schiffer is honored to serve as the JLGP’s President Elect. She transferred to the JLGP in 2022 from New York Junior League and has previously served JLGP as Board Secretary, Community Manager, Spring Tea Chair, and as a State and Public Affairs Committee delegate. Jackie brings to the JLGP a wealth of nonprofit management and advocacy experience. 

Jackie holds a B.M. in Voice Performance from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Masters degree in Educational Theatre from City College of New York, and a Masters degree in Diplomacy/Development Studies from University for Peace/UN Institute for Training and Research. She currently works in higher education fundraising as a Director of Major and Planned Giving. 

Jackie and her husband Joe live in West Windsor with their son Jackson. 

 

Treasurer, Michele Anene George

Michele Anene George joined the Junior League of Greater Princeton in the fall of 2022 and has been an active volunteer committed to advancing the League’s mission to address food insecurity. She served on the Membership and Development Committees, where she supported new member onboarding and led a consulting-style research initiative to evaluate strategies for strengthening fund development and fundraising operations.

Ms. George brings over 15 years of experience in technology, strategy, and finance, with a focus in the financial services & insurance industries. She currently serves as Head of Client Growth & Retention delivery at New York Life, where she leads digital and technology modernization initiatives to enhance strategic growth and drive operational excellence. Throughout her career, Ms. George has built a reputation for successfully managing complex initiatives, building high performing teams, and leading business development efforts.

She holds an MBA from Duke University and a Bachelor’s degree from Bowie State University. Michele resides in Ewing, NJ with her husband and enjoys tennis, travel, music, and spending time with family & friends.

 

Secretary, Carolyn Plotkin

Carolyn has been a member of the JLGP since October of 2023, with this being her first year as Board Secretary. Previously Carolyn served the JLGP as Membership Manager for two years. Other roles Carolyn has held are 50/50 Co-Chair, Great Sandwich Shuffle committee, Spring Tea committee, and Scholarship committee. Carolyn also enjoys participating in the monthly JLGP Book Club as well as playing Mah Jongg with her fellow JLGPers.

Carolyn received a BFA in Dance Performance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. She has also had the pleasure of working for Houston Ballet and San Francisco Ballet in both artistic and administrative roles. Carolyn’s work in the non-profit sector deepened her knowledge of and ignited her passion for service.

Since becoming an “empty nester” Carolyn has enjoyed forming new friendships and finding new purpose through the JLGP.

 

Nominating Director, Amanda Chait

Amanda joined the JLGP as a Provisional member in the Fall of 2019. She is excited to move into the role of Nominations Director after serving on the Nominating Committee for two years. She has previously served on the Membership Committee and as a Community Chair. 

Amanda earned her B.A. in American Studies and History from the College of William & Mary and her Master’s Degree in Historic Preservation from Columbia University. In her professional career, she worked in both the public and private sector in her capacity as a preservationist and Architectural Historian. 

Currently, in addition to her position in the Junior League, Amanda dedicates time to local non-profit organizations and school PTOs, sits on multiple Boards, and freelance copy edits for a publishing house. She lives in Hopewell Township, New Jersey with her husband David, daughters Julia and Sally, and dogs Lincoln and Nash. 

 

Sustainer Director, Pam Switlik

Pam Switlik joined the JLCDV in 1980. She served as Provisional chair for a class of five New Members. Ms. Switlik performed in Children’s Theater for many shows, was a ‘Kids on the Block’ puppeteer, served as Community Service Chair and was involved with the Roebling redevelopment project. She also was involved in several show houses, serving as Preview Party Chair multiple times. Ms. Switlik has also been Chair of the Sustainer Committee.

After growing up in the midwest and earning an English degree from Ohio U, Pam moved east to work in NY then in NJ where she earned a MLS from Rutgers University. Pam is now a Domestic Engineer and has served on many boards including Pennington Council, Library Board, NJ State Museum Board, Independence Seaport Museum in Phila., NPDC Board, as well as the Garden Club of Trenton, and the advisory committee for Pi Beta Phi at Princeton. Ms. Switlik is currently a driver for Meals on Wheels.

 

Director of Operations, Uta Steinhauser

Uta Steinhauser joined the Junior League of Greater Princeton as a Provisional member in the fall of 2009. Ms. Steinhauser has served the League in multiple leadership positions including Admissions Co-Chair, Membership Manager, Director of Operations and as JLGP President in 2021-2022 and 2023-2024 leading many League projects and initiatives. She is a career public health professional with over 20 years of experience in the field and holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Rutgers University, School of Public Health with a dual concentration in epidemiology and health education. 

Ms. Steinhauser works for the New Jersey Department of Health where she manages the evaluation and surveillance work for the Department’s chronic disease prevention program. She is responsible for leading a team of staff, monitoring statewide data for chronic conditions, grant writing, data modernization and strategic planning. 

Ms. Steinhauser is an active volunteer in several community organizations including the West Windsor Volunteer Fire Company and West Windsor Historical Society. She sits on the Rutgers University, Bloustein Public Health Advisory Board and is a founding Editorial Board Member of the New Jersey Journal of Public Health. She enjoys spending time with her family, entertaining, reading and needlepointing. Ms. Steinhauser resides in Princeton Junction with her husband and two children.
